Storm Rolltop
Sling LTD Downstream 4L ltd storm jam ltd Downriver Rolltop BackpackI was assigned with upgrading the tried and trusted Storm Series bags built for guides that spend all day, every day on the water. These bags have been tested by River Rats, Dirtbags and Boat Captains and proven they can hold up under the harshest and toughest conditions. I decided to create and make use of a fresh new Fish Camo pattern (since on-the-water fashion is a fairly new thing) and added high-visibility, contrasting, orange accents to make certain this bag doesn’t get left behind on the beach or on the boat.

finding opportunities to evolve While the the Sling and Storm Jam were already in the product assortment, I expanded on this product line to introduce Storm Rolltop, Downstream 4L and evolve the Downriver Rolltop backpack. For all styles, the goal was to keep gear safe, dry, and organized. In addition to making use of the new pattern, I added a tie-down bungee system, lash tabs for additional carrying capabilities, external clear front water tight pockets and contrasting trims throughout. Working with the manufacturer, we also upgraded hard wear details across and added a mesh water bottle holder to the Downriver Rolltop backpack. I expanded upon the original, and previously very bare-bones, bag design to be something sleek yet more functional, stylish, playful and versatile.
Downstream 4L LTD (below):
This minimalistic bag is also made of storm proof material, features 4L of storage space made possible by HF welded construction, a rolltop closure, easy access external water tight pocket. And most importantly can be worn as shoulder bag or waist pack.
For the downstream, I made use of a removable, one-handed, quick adjust strap
that can be fitted from 20” to 40”.

This Sling features storm proof material, 20L of on-the-back waterproof storage, an easy to use rolltop closure, external (clear) water tight pocket, and adjustable and cross-body shoulder sling for a custom fit.
Storm Jam LTD (left):
A sleek and minimal gear pouch.
Features include storm proof material, “phone home sleeve” for touch screen functionality, internal stash pocket for cards and cash, and a nice and easy slip through adjustable waist strap.
Downriver Rolltop Backpack. (bottom right):
A large and durable on the water backpack. The final prototype featured storm proof material (used throughout this collection) 32L of storage space, and the practical rolltop closure. I added a mesh water bottle holder for it’s wicking capabilities, a classic tie-down external side carrying bungee system, and low profile lash tabs for extra carrying capabilities.
